This is our lowest cost option and is $1999 installed in the local central Florida area around The Villages, Fl. The Safe Lift is a single pick point lift that utilizes a platform with a halo that allows the platform to be picked from the center of the halo and the corners of the halo then connect to the platform on each corner. This system requires at least 5′ of headroom above the attic floor to work. Also being a single pick system it needs to be attended at all times to ensure the orientation of the lift platform remains level and coincides with the hole in the ceiling as it draws up through the ceiling into the attic. This system also comes with a canvas bag system that will allow goods to be placed in the bag or sling and picked up through the ceiling hole. Once the bag is above the floor in the attic space the hoist system will slide on a rail to one side where it can be lowered to the attic floor and the goods taken off or put on for the trip to the garage below.
Advantages
- Low Cost
Disadvantages
- Requires constant attention from the operator to ensure the load stays level
Space Lift
This is our most popular option. $3,300 installed in the local central Florida area around The Villages. It has no overhead requirements as the entire lift assembly including all the lifting mechanism, motor, controls etc. all fit in a single package that fits into your floor of your attic. The system sticks up above the attic floor about 4 to 5” (2×6” joists). The system can be operated at the lift upstairs or from a master control hardwired switch located downstairs. The Space Lift lifts from all four corners of the platform and this makes the loading easy and the platform stable even when loaded unevenly. The Space Lift is controlled by a Printed Circuit Board Programmable Controller that when programmed knows where your ceiling and floor are so the lift stops on its own at both locations. The Space Lift can be stopped anywhere along the travel for loading and unloading.
Advantages
- Low Profile
- No Overhead Equipment
- Stable Platform
- Programable Logic
Disadvantages
- Smaller lift table size 18" x 36"
- Limited package sizes due to lift table size
Versa Lift
Base price is $4,400 installed. This lift has a significantly larger platform at 21” x 36”. The base priced Versa Lift is operated by a controller that is mounted to the lift structure in the attic which requires about 5’ of height above the floor. Additional controls are available for additional costs. The platform has a four-point metal structure supporting it and is lifted by two cables attached to each end of the center of the platform structure. This means the Versa Lift load must be centered on the table, or it can tilt. The upstairs structure houses the motor assembly and cable reels which are mounted above the platform hole and take up considerable room in small attics.
Advantages
- Large Platform
Disadvantages
- Load must be balanced to avoid tipping
- Installation requires more space in the attic
- Significantly higher cost
