For Safe Stair Installations that are wider or narrower than the standard 24” on-center joist system, you must add the Safe Step Stairs Non-Standard Kit Design. The fee is for engineering and custom gas shocks to accompany your kit to ensure they work correctly. Also, be aware that there is a lead time of up to 4 weeks for the gas shocks to be custom-made.
