All Safe Step Stair Kits are built to order specifically for the customer and the application of the home where they are being installed. To get you the correct components in your kit, we need the following information. As soon as we receive this, we will build your kit.

What is the ceiling height measured from the floor surface to the ceiling surface?

What is the distance between the joists?

What are the dimensions of the bottom beam of the truss or joists?

Please provide the measurement from the Hinge Point back to the point shown on drawing #2 as Measure Here. Please provide this measurement on both sides of the stairs.

NOTE: Do not plan the Hinge Point to be adjacent to any of the supports between the truss joists and truss roof beams, see picture below these supports are referred to as Tension or Compression Webs as this would interfere with your being able to step off the stairs into the attic space.
